Designed by William Morris and registered in 1882, Brer Rabbit — also known as Brother Rabbit — features pairs of rabbits and birds nestled amongst scrolling oak leaves and acorns. Inspired by a 17th-century Italian silk, the design was named after the mischievous Brer Rabbit character from the Uncle Remus stories, a favourite of the Morris family.
The combination of woodland animals, stylised foliage and beautifully balanced repetition gives Brer Rabbit all the character of classic Arts & Crafts design, while feeling wonderfully at home in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Care
To keep your handcrafted coasters looking their best, wipe away spills promptly and clean with a soft damp cloth using warm water and a little mild washing-up liquid.
Do not allow water to stand on the surface. Dry thoroughly before stacking or storing.
Ideal for hot and cold drinks, wine bottles and teapots, but not suitable for use as a trivet or for placing in the dishwasher.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, furniture polishes or chemical sprays, as these may damage the protective finish over time.
