Local Pick Up
You are very welcome to collect your furniture or handmade creations from Shel's Shabby Chic in Stotfold SG5. I would love to meet you! Please call or email me at info@shels-shabby-chic.co.uk so that we can arrange this.
Delivery Times
I take great care creating and then packing up my handmade creations before sending them out to you. I am a sole trader, not Amazon, so I do need 2 to 3 days to process your orders. If you are in a rush for something please email me at info@shels-shabby-chic.co.uk before purchasing and, if I can, I will get a wriggle on your order for you.
GIFTS & HOMEWARES
SMALL and MEDIUM items (weighing up to 2kg and either £20 or £30 in value) will be sent by Royal Mail:

We obtain proof of postage for every parcel. This service is not trackable. If you require a Signed service, please add it to the Note when you order and I will send you an invoice for the additional cost.
PARCEL2GO will be used for heavier or more expensive items (weighing up to 5kg) on a 3-5 day service. Parcel2Go are a network of nationwide parcel services including UPS, DPD, FedEx, Parcel Force and Evri:

FURNITURE
I have a network of trusted furniture couriers who offer 1-man delivery nationwide. Delivery is to your door, ground floor only and the courier will most likely require your assistance on delivery. 2-man delivery is available at a premium, so please contact me before purchasing if you require this service. If you live in Highlands/Devon/Cornwall/Northern Ireland please contact me before purchasing with your postcode, so that I can obtain the best quote for you.

Processing/delivery times for furniture can vary, depending on the courier, the size of furniture and your location. Please allow 7-14 working days to receive your furniture. My courier will contact you direct and keep you informed.
Returns
We offer a 14-day return policy, giving you two weeks from receiving your item to requesting a return. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packing and unused. A refund will only be offered after the item is returned and inspected.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
First of all, thank you for trusting us with your order, we’re delighted to be working with you.
We're proud to offer a very generous returns policy but please note there are certain items, for understandable reasons, that fall outside the scope of this policy. These exceptions are as follows and include:
- items that have been in your use for more than 3 months and/or have experienced damage from everyday wear and tear.
- custom orders, for example, commissioned furniture, wallpaper coasters, and personalized items.
- Sale items (unless faulty)
- Gift vouchers
Additionally, it's important to note that upcycled furniture, by nature, may bear signs of a previous life. Any such signs and unique features will have been pointed out to you during the sale process and your purchase is made in the knowledge of these characteristics.

On receipt of your order
Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we want to ensure that your piece of furniture arrives in the condition you purchased it. We kindly ask that you take a moment to check the item while the courier is present. If you notice any damage, please make a note of it and mention it to the courier immediately. Taking photographs of any visible damage at this point is also a good idea, and then get in touch with us. This way, we can address any issues promptly and make your experience as smooth as possible.
If we do not hear from you within 24 hours of receipt of your order, we will assume the order has been delivered in a satisfactory state.
To return your item
We offer a 14-day return policy, giving you two weeks from receiving your item to requesting a return. To get the return process started, send us an email at info@shels-shabby-chic.co.uk, and let us know what you’re returning and why.
For the item to return safely in its original condition, you'll need to use a reliable and fully insured furniture courier, so please get in touch if you need any help sourcing a suitable courier.
Please ensure you take photos before the courier collects the item to protect you from any damage in transit.
Please bear in mind you're responsible for the return shipping costs, so when sending back the item, pack it up carefully and send it to:

We recommend items are returned using a fully insured, trackable service.
Refunds
Within 24 hours of receiving your return, we will carefully examine and assess the item and will promptly reach out to discuss the next steps with you.
If we agree a refund, we'll process the refund to your original payment method and will notify you. But please just keep in mind that it may take a few days to go through the banking systems.
