British-made and formulated with proprietary resin technology and an exceptionally high metallic pigment load, Super GILD Gold is Guild Lane's premium gilding paint. It dries hard like an enamel, creating a highly reflective, realistic metallic finish with excellent adhesion and durability.

For best results, your surface should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and residue.
A primer isn't always necessary. On glossy, sealed or difficult surfaces, lightly sand first and use a suitable primer where required to promote adhesion. Highly absorbent surfaces may also benefit from priming.

A little really can make all the difference — it's all in the detail.
How to Use
Stir gently before every use to distribute the metallic pigments evenly.
Apply using a good-quality brush, fine roller or sponge. For a smooth, refined metallic finish, apply in thin, even strokes; alternatively, stipple the paint to create texture and greater visual depth. Super GILD can also be sprayed with suitable equipment.

One coat offers excellent coverage and a strong metallic effect thanks to the exceptionally high pigment load. For the smoothest, most luminous and refined finish, apply a second thin coat after the first has dried for at least one hour.
Always test your colour, surface preparation and finish on a small or inconspicuous area before beginning your project.
Drying & Curing
- Touch dry: approximately 30 minutes
- Ready to recoat: approximately 1 hour
- Fully cured: approximately 21 days
Allow the finish to cure fully before subjecting it to regular or heavier handling.
Coverage
A little Super GILD goes a surprisingly long way:
- 30ml: up to 1m²
- 60ml: up to 2m²
Actual coverage will vary depending on the texture, porosity and preparation of your surface.
Cleaning Your Brushes
Clean brushes and tools promptly after use with water.
Extra Protection
Super GILD Gold is an all-in-one formula and doesn't normally require a topcoat or sealing.
For extremely high-traffic areas, frequently handled surfaces or exposed exterior projects where additional protection is required, a suitable compatible clear topcoat can be applied once the paint is fully dry. Always test first to ensure you're happy with the resulting finish.
