CHEST OF DRAWERS Hand Painted Flowers - Yellow Lebus Bedroom Furniture
Floella is a totally unique mid-century modern chest of drawers, British made by Harris Lebus of London. She would beautifully adorn any bedroom in your home, her three hand painted drawers provide plenty of stylish storage.
Painted with Fusion mineral paint, in a custom mixed mellow yellow. Wildflower prints have been decoupaged on her sides and all three drawers hand painted with matching wildflowers, grasses and a solitary dragonfly, all in artist acrylics, so they are slightly raised with a totally tactile 3D effect.
This dresser has been named after a TV icon from my childhood; Baroness Floella Benjamin was so much fun, always creative, bright and cheerful on Playschool and is still looking fabulous in her 70s.
She has been adorned with some fun and rather funky orange flower-shaped handles, the individual petals enhanced with an added touch of gold. The dresser top has a beautiful open grain, typical of mid-century furniture.
The dovetail joints have been given the Shel's Shabby Chic treatment, enhanced to show off their craftsmanship. The exterior has been finished with satin varnish for a slight sheen, extra protection and durability. Inside, the drawers have been treated to a coat of sweet smelling orange oil and her runners have been waxed. It’s all in the detail.
Floella is a totally unique piece of British furniture, that is not just fun, floral, pretty and practical, but also a little piece of art in her own right.

As with most vintage pieces, they may show the odd sign of age; a ding or imperfection, which only adds to their character and charms. All of my pieces are in excellent vintage condition.
